In Heretic, it is a time-limited powerup that lasts for 60 seconds. In Hexen, however, the Wings are reusable until the player exits the current hub; the player can press the Home key to drop to the ground and .

"Wings of Wrath" is well-written and doesn't suffer from middle book syndrome. One of the things I like about this trilogy is that each book has its own story arc that is a part of the larger whole. It doesn't end on a giant cliffhanger, but rather is the close of one chapter within a greater saga/5(44).   Wings Of Wrath by Celia Friedman, , available at Book Depository with free delivery worldwide/5(K).

She decides to journey towards the Wrath (a magical barrier that separates the North from the rest of the world) and try to learn its secrets. Many secrets are revealed about the Wrath and the Soul Eaters that dwell to the North. This story switches POV a ton throughout the book and a lot more characters are added to the story/5(8).   It made me nosy for your review of Wings of Wrath Feast of Souls got 8/10 and Wings of Wrath gets 9/10 Based on your excellent reviews and your final verdicts I have to change my book list. I definitely have to add both books to my book list. I think I have to take part in a special lottery where you can win books plus time to read it:).

Wings of Wrath is the second book of the Magister trilogy, and as such pretty much sets up the finale. However the depth of Friedman's worlds is as usual excellent, and there is enough plot movement to make everyone happy/5. "Wings of Wrath" is the second in Friedman's "Magister Trilogy" (Feast of Souls: Book One of the Magister Trilogy,Wings of Wrath: Book Two of the Magister Trilogy, and Legacy of Kings: Book Three of the Magister Trilogy). And, I'm very pleased to say that, in my opinion, it's MUCH better than the first book in the series/5(66).

What other book might you compare Wings of Wrath to and why. None. It has its own life unlike the other books I have listened to. Would you listen to another book narrated by Elisabeth Rodgers. Yes. She is a good reader.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting. For the most part, Yes. Any additional comments. Wings of Wrath is an excellent book.

It is tightly plotted with interesting characters and well paced action, which makes this a novel I can highly recommend to anyone who enjoys their fantasy emotionally realistic and dark. I am wondering how Friedman will manage to tie up all the story lines with just one book to go, and am eagerly 5/5(5).

Wings of Wrath is C. Friedman writing at the top of her form. This series is head and shoulders above most of the competition on the market today * Pat's Fantasy Hotlist * Friedman keeps the tension at a high level throughout an emotionally charged, sensual, and thought-provoking novel * * Typically superb writing style.

Wings Of Wrath () About book: After I read the first book I rated it as an average reAd, being that it was quite slow in places however it was enjoyable enough to warrant reading the second book.

I'm glad I did, I Understand now why the first book was so slow, it was merely setting the scene, the scope of this book is astounding, in places it was hard to tear myself away.

About Wings of Wrath. A masterwork of fantasy from the author of Feast of Souls Kamala, a peasant woman, has claimed the powerful sorcery of the Magisters as her own-the ability to draw on the power of the human soul without dying for it. Wings of Wrath is an excellent second volume of a trilogy, and a solid work in its own right.

It is an emotionally charged, sensual, and thought-provoking novel and despite some minor issues I had with the pacing/plotting, I think Friedman has is. WINGS OF WRATH is the second book in the Magister trilogy.

I hadn't read the first book, so that is something to keep in mind when you're reading my review. Often, series are either structured in a way that you can pick up a book at any point and get into the story pretty quickly, or you have to read the series from the beginning.
